About the role
This academic position is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and delivery of Physiotherapy courses at our Sydney campus. You will play a key role in shaping the Master of Physiotherapy program by contributing to curriculum development, ensuring academic quality and relevance, and supporting student success through pastoral care and academic guidance. Working closely with the Program Coordinator and a multidisciplinary team across campuses, you will be actively involved in the design, implementation, and ongoing review of the program to ensure it meets the highest standards of education and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Physiotherapy curriculum, primarily in the area of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, through lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and clinical sessions.
- Coordinate subjects, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing teaching activities and assessments.
- Prepare, update, and maintain course materials to ensure alignment with current clinical practices and academic standards.
- Assess student learning through marking, feedback, and supporting academic progress and development.
- Participate in research, quality improvement, and engagement activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake administrative duties and comply with university policies, procedures.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Registered Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapists Registration Board under AHPRA.
- Possession of, or progress toward, a doctoral qualification in Physiotherapy, or equivalent clinical experience with relevant postgraduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated experience in educational material development and delivery across various formats, including entry-level, postgraduate, or professional education.
- Proven ability to supervise student research projects and contribute to scholarly and professional activities (desirable).
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and alignment with the values and mission of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
