Bene Aged Care is launching a brand-new Specialist Dementia Care Unit in October 2025 at our St. Agnes site — and we're looking for dedicated PCWs to join our care team.

7:00am–3:00pm

3:00pm–11:00pm

11:00pm–7:00am

9:00am–3:00pm (Floating PCW)

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to older people living with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

• Support residents' daily living activities in alignment with personalised care plans, cultural preferences, and family needs.

• Observe and report on residents' health and functional changes to clinical staff.

• Promote independence and rehabilitation-focused care.

• Actively contribute to care planning, quality improvement, and continuous learning.

What You Bring:

Essential:

• Must have Cert IV in Ageing Support

• Experience in residential aged care

• Knowledge and experience in dementia care

• Current National Police Certificate

• Understanding of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD)

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP)

About the Unit:

Our new Specialist Dementia Care Unit is designed to support older individuals living with more complex dementia-related needs. The focus is on stabilisation, intensive person-centred support, and transition planning — all delivered in a warm, purpose-built environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new benchmark in dementia care.
