About the opportunity

The Architect and Engineering (A&E) program stands as a fundamental pillar of Axis Communications business. In the role of an A&E Manager, you will cultivate awareness and stimulate demand for Axis products and solutions within the consultant and specifier community within Oceania.

As a trusted advisor to professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specify solutions for inclusion into their design of security systems, you will create new business opportunities and deliver training to ensure they get the full value of Axis solutions.

As part of the role, you will drive and execute the overall strategy of the Axis A&E program in Oceania including building the A&E network. You will also collaborate with the Regional Sales team and work closely with our APAC and HQ teams in Sweden, to align the A&E program.

This role is based in Australia, specifically in either Sydney or Melbourne, and will have a requirement to travel domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as a liaison between Axis Communications and the A&E community.
- Cultivate and manage business relationships aligned with the A&E Program and Oceania strategy.
- Support consultants by advising on specifications around Axis network video and audio products including cyber security and sustainability.
- Proactively educate the consultant community on the key challenges of the industry and position Axis as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
- Educate specifiers on the smart use of Axis design tools, ensuring system design accuracy and improving their operational efficiencies.
- Align the A&E program with the activities of our regional sales, building a project pipeline through Axis Products' specification into new projects.
- Work collaboratively in a team with peers from Axis sales regions worldwide to ensure development and use of the best practice.

Qualification and Experience

- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
- Demonstrated experience to be a trusted advisor
- Comprehensive understanding of all facets of the physical electronic security industry
- Experience working with indirect sales, preferably in a technical sales position from the IT or Security industry
- Able to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- IT exposure in networking, Understanding of Cyber, IP-based technologies and applications with sound knowledge of network infrastructure is an advantage.
