Our maintenance employees form a critical part of the restaurant team, reporting to the Restaurant Manager. The maintenance role is primarily focused on the cleanliness of the restaurant (internally and externally) and preparing the restaurant for trade each day. This role is suited to an individual who is highly organised, is able to work autonomously and has a high attention to detail.
We typically seek candidates for full-time positions, but if you can only commit to part-time or casual roles, we encourage you to apply, especially if you are available for late-night/early-morning shifts at McDonald's. Join us and become part of the Maccas team
What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
- Maintain the internal and external restaurant environment to provide a clean, functioning and welcoming environment for Customers and the restaurant team.
- Maintain equipment to ensure it is well functioning and the restaurant environment is safe and secure from potential hazards.
- Maintain the restaurant carpark, patio and all exterior equipment including, but not limited to the bins, gardens, curbs, signage, floors, tables and chairs.
- Organise and clean the back area of the restaurant including the rubbish area and staff toilets.
- Comply with restaurant safety and security standards for a safe working environment.
- Complete ad hoc maintenance tasks when requested by the Management team.

- Well-presented and friendly
- Availability to work early mornings to prepare the restaurant for trade
- Able to independently complete tasks including but not limited to mopping, scrubbing, climbing ladders, cleaning windows and toilets
- Confident in engaging with customers, suppliers or contractors, including handling difficult situations with individuals
- Capable of hearing and responding to various alerts and alarms
- Resilient and adaptable, bouncing back from challenges with a positive mindset
- Police cCheck required if successful (applicants over 18 years only)
- Valid right to work in Australia is required
