This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 380 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 500 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA),Netherlands,Denmark,Mexicoand Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.

About the role

The Company is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor who will be a critical member of the finance function. The position will report to the Accounts Payable Manager who will provide mentoring and development. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven individual with a desire to develop their accounting career in a fast-growing ASX defence technology company

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations

- Daily management of Finance inbox.

- Perform daily bank reconciliation in Xero and Oracle.

- Check and approve employee reimbursements and corporate cards.

- Check and approve supplier invoices.

- Review weekly pay run register and ad hoc payments.

- Perform period close activities in accounts payable module in Oracle and generate accounts payable reports.

- Supervise and mentor accounts payable team.

- Assist and support accounts payable manager.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

- Accounting/Commerce or similar relevant Degree

- Minimum 5 years’ experience

- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a geographically distributed team
