Practice Information
The Bluewater Medical Practice is a private practice, owned by the practice principal, teaching practice established in 1996. There are currently 9 FT/PT GPs; some privately bill all of their patients, while others fully bulk bill. There is absolute freedom in your billing or practice style and working hours. The practice has Pathology, Pharmacy, Allied health practitioners, and sessions by Cardiologist and Surgeon. An operating theatre is available for procedures in local anaesthetic only. A team of experienced nurses covers all opening hours.

Located in the fast-growing Northern Beaches suburb of Townsville, which has a population of approximately 180,000 and is known as the Capital of North Queensland. James Cook University has a Medical School. There are excellent private and public schools. Employment opportunities for GP partners are excellent. Townsville offers all the advantages of a capital city with the bonus of affordable accommodation and a relaxed, holiday-like lifestyle.

Position Description
Full time or part time General Practitioners needed. NO obstetrics or anaesthetic skills necessary, but special skills or interests are welcome.

Using Best Practice. NO after hours, obstetrics, or anaesthetics, but special skills are welcomed, especially in skin surgery. Our practice services Northern Beaches suburbs of Townsville and the farming community between Townsville and Ingham.

After Hours: All After Hours services are provided by the practice Principal.

Candidate Profile:
Full time General Practitioner - 10 sessions AHPRA + minimum 3 years medical work experience.
