Who you’ll work with

You’ll join our Market Reputation team in Australia, working closely with senior business leaders across our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. This role is based in Sydney and collaborates directly with the Asia Pacific Market Reputation Lead and partners with teams in Practice Marketing, Account Marketing, PR, and Bain’s Executive Network to build and activate high-impact marketing strategies.

Where you’ll fit within the team

This role leads the execution of a cohesive market reputation strategy that elevates Bain’s brand, amplifies thought leadership, and deepens engagement with senior executives and the business community in Australia and New Zealand. You’ll coach a small, high-performing team and drive cross-functional marketing initiatives that align with regional growth priorities.

What you’ll do

- Design and run high-impact marketing and communications campaigns, aligned with brand and commercial objectives.

- Position Bain Australia as a reference voice on tech/AI-led transformation.

- Elevate and protect Bain’s reputation through proactive PR, issues management, and sharp differentiation.

- Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within professional services or technology-related industries.

- Strong track record in in-house communications/PR, including media relations, issues management, and driving thought leadership campaigns.

About you

Must have:

- 10-15 years of relevant marketing experience in marketing and communications. Understanding of and experience in B2B marketing, ideally in professional services or tech-related industries

- Proven success leading integrated marketing strategies and managing cross-channel campaigns, with a strong track record in in-house communications/PR, including media relations, issues management, and driving thought leadership campaigns

- 3–5 years of experience managing and developing team members

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with senior stakeholders

- Ability to operate with high autonomy, resilience, adaptability, and strategic influence

- Ability to act as a change agent and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders; challenge respectfully, build trust quickly and collaborate to achieve objectives.

- Both strategic and hands-on: can design the playbook and execute, while innovating beyond legacy approaches.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

- Media-trained communicator with a strong PR background and proven record of delivering high-visibility, high-impact campaigns.

- Experience in technology/AI-related marketing preferred. Candidates without demonstrated exposure may be considered selectively.
