The Opportunity
We are proud to partner with our client Sydney Water on a major infrastructure upgrade, servicing communities across Greater Sydney. This 8+ year contract will see us providing desilting and rehabilitation services to a major wastewater tunnel that runs from Blacktown through to the Northern Beaches. As a result, we currently have an opportunity for experienced and reliable plant operators to join our field crews working on the North Shore and surrounds (free transport to and from site is provided). This position is permanent full-time offering a rewarding remuneration package including regular overtime.
Responsibilities include:
- Operation of Brokk machine, excavators, skid steer & front end loader machines
- General labouring including site preparation and onsite support
- Operating state-of-the-art Plant & Equipment in pipeline renewal (cleaning and assessments, pipe lining, junction cut & seal and flow management)
- Associate civils including Manhole/Pit alteration with rehabilitation
Your background may be from one of the following:
- Pipe maintenance experience such as cleaning, pipe lining, CCTV or plumbing
- Civil construction or tunnelling experience
- Water or wastewater infrastructure
- Bulk or minor civil earthworks
You will bring:
- Valid Drivers Licence
- OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
- The ability to work on sites across the Northern Suburbs (free transport to and from site is provided)
- Good work ethic and positive work attitude
- A strong focus on safety
- HR or MR licence, Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights licences are desirable but in no way essential
