In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind high-quality communications planning, advice, and project delivery. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll transform technical and complex energy topics into clear, engaging materials that resonate with diverse audiences. From developing marketing campaigns and direct mailouts to crafting web content that meets government standards, your work will help shape how our department connects with the public.

- Create and manage content across web, print, and digital platforms with precision and creativity.

- Collaborate with technical specialists to ensure accuracy and stakeholder alignment.

- Monitor and report on web performance using tools like Google Analytics.

- Ensure all content meets accessibility, usability, and brand guidelines.

Key Selection Criteria

- Strong communication skills – Proven ability to write in plain English, translate complex topics for public understanding, and deliver high-quality content across web and print platforms.

- Stakeholder engagement – Demonstrated experience building and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including technical specialists.

- Project and time management – Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise competing demands, and meet tight deadlines independently.

- Digital expertise – Sound knowledge of online communication, web accessibility standards, content management systems, and experience using analytics tools like Google Analytics.

Qualifications

Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, web or related field, or equivalent experience.

Remuneration

ASO5 salary range $85,790 - $95,413 per annum + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week

Special Conditions

- Out of hours work may be required.

- Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
