Who are we?
Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund exclusively for the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members covering the lives of over 400,000 teachers, education staff & their families.
What will you do?
In this leadership role, you’ll:
- Lead the daily operations of the Ancillary claims team
- Coach, develop and support team members to meet KPIs and SLAs
- Monitor and audit claims and correspondence for quality and compliance
- Manage team resourcing, rosters, and leave planning
- Provide expert support on escalated enquiries and complaints
- Drive continuous improvement through process reviews and innovation
- Lead projects to improve technology, data use, and member experience
- Ensure legislative compliance and keep processes up to date
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across the business
What do you need?
Essential:
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to change
- Solid computer skills, including internal systems and Microsoft Office
- A focus on customer service and continuous improvement
- Certificate IV in Business, Management or equivalent
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of medical or nursing terminology
- Experience in private health insurance, claims, or membership processing
- Bachelor’s degree in business or management
The salary package for this role (so inclusive of super) is $111,496
