In this full-time, 6-month contract role, you'll be based onsite in Sydney, playing a vital part in the design, fabrication, and production engineering of mechanical systems for next-gen simulation and training platforms.

Why This Role?

This isn't a high-level strategy role-it's all about engineering work. If you're someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, diving into CAD design, and making things happen, this is your kind of gig. The senior work is covered internally; they need your support on the tools.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Designing mechanical products for training and simulation systems
- Translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs and technical documentation
- Creating and updating CAD drawings
- Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
- Supporting fabrication and supplier engagement
- Collaborating with engineers to get quality product out the door-on time and on budget

What You'll Bring:

- Mechanical engineering qualifications (bachelor's degree)
- Experience with mechanical assemblies -defence or aerospace
- Proficiency in CAD tools like Inventor or Fusion 360
- Familiarity with tools like Vault, Windchill, or Teamcenter is a bonus
- A team-focused mindset and willingness to be the engine room of the team

The Fine Print:

- Full-time, onsite role in Sydney
- 6-month contract
- No travel required
- Start ASAP

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

- Australian Citizenship: Required due to Defence project security standards.
- Security Clearance: Must have a BASELINE security clearance as a minimum
