Test System Developer
Join us developing reliable, maintainable device hardware test systems that raise the quality bar of our hearing‑health devices.
You’ll work closely with Electronics Engineers and cross‑functional partners such as Software Engineers and Hardware Engineers to deliver scalable testing that enables effective verification & validation (V&V) performance.
While this is first and foremost a Test System Developer role, you will also support the team in a Scrum Master–like capacity – helping to plan, facilitate and continuously improve the way we work.
Your new job is awaiting your attention
The focus of this job is to improve the quality and reliability of our Device Hardware Test Software and Test Systems by driving better V&V and product confidence. We use Scrum as the daily approach to plan and execute the development.
As part of the job, you will:
- Design, model, implement and test hardware‑centric test solutions aligned to feature requirements.
- Build and maintain automated test systems for device hardware; instrumentation, measurement/control, calibration and traceability.
- Integrate hardware and software; drivers, interfaces, and services that talk to instruments, sensors, and DUTs.
- Contribute to system and software architecture by reviewing designs and proposing improvements to reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in planning, estimation, and agile/SAFe ceremonies as an integral contributor to the ART and help ensure effective execution of the team’s commitments.
- Support the team in a Scrum Master–like role by facilitating Scrum events, helping remove impediments, and driving continuous improvement of our ways of working.
- Take part in the full software development lifecycle and contribute to building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices incl. mentor teammates.
- Create and review technical documentation; coordinate and solve complex design challenges with stakeholders.
Great environment and team collaboration
You will join two other experienced Test System Developers, who have been with us for a long time.
It is basic conditions in Demant that we offer motivating tasks, good working environments, and personal and professional development. Hence our 3rd member of the team has just begun as Scrum Master for another team, why we are looking for a new member.
Joining our small team means you can look forward to good collaboration with daily sharing of professional knowledge and experience.
As Taweesap Dangprasert, Manager, Test Systems Development says: “The wellbeing of the team is something that is very important for me”.
Top reasons to apply
- A low‑routine environment with diverse tasks spanning both practical testing and process improvement.
- The opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborating with a wide range of engineering experts; Acoustics, Electronics, RF, Software, and Hardware specialists.
- Cross‑functional collaboration with Developers, Product Owners, and Hardware Engineers.
- A work culture that is informal and includes equality, self‑management, open dialogue, and a healthy work–life balance.
- A wide range of benefits; healthy and delicious canteen with free breakfast every morning, quality coffee and tea and fruit all day, free access to our fitness center with clean towels and soaps in the showers, access to different social club, continuous development, training and courses, possibility to work home up to two days per week, etc.
What we are looking for
The job is based in Smørum. It is important that you can start onsite from day one.
With an inquisitive mindset you are motivated for continuous learning. You consistently demonstrate a careful attention to detail and a focus on high quality. You enjoy taking responsibility for both development tasks and team processes and feel comfortable performing some Scrum Master–like activities alongside your developer role.
You come with:
- Solid electronics fundamentals; schematics, PCB interfaces, power/grounding.
- Solid understanding of measurement uncertainty and hands‑on experience with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs and audio/RF analyzers.
- Hands‑on experience across the full electronic testing with understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Proficient programming abilities in C#/.NET and Python for creating test frameworks, instrument drivers and tooling.
- Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps plus CI/CD; repos, work items, pipelines, specifically in a test‑systems context.
- A relentless focus on architecture, code quality, testing and documentation.
- Practical day‑to‑day experience with an agile setup (e.g. Scrum), ideally including supporting the team with tasks such as facilitating ceremonies, follow‑up on actions or removing impediments.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Additional skills that are beneficial but not required
- NI TestStand and/or LabVIEW exposure.
- Experience with hearing instruments, acoustics, RF, or similar embedded device domains.
- UML or similar modeling tools.
- Knowledge of TDD or similar development approaches.
