Overview

Join the AWAHS Team in a Casual Capacity. Located at the Glenroy Albury Clinic. Are you a passionate Registered Nurse with qualifications in Child and Family Health? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of local Aboriginal children and families? AWAHS is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Health Nurse to deliver culturally sensitive, community-based care to Aboriginal children (0–6 years) and their families across the Albury Wodonga region. Join a multidisciplinary Maternal Health team committed to providing first-class, holistic health care.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver universal and sustained home visiting programs to families with newborns
- Conduct health surveillance and screening for children aged 0–6
- Support parenting through education, counselling, and group sessions
- Promote early intervention and health promotion
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care
- Participate in immunisation programs
- Advocate for culturally safe healthcare practices and environments

What You’ll Bring

- Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing (or equivalent)
- Desirable: Midwifery registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to community development
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Current driver’s licence and clearances (WWCC, Police Check)
