Job Description

Spread Joy by joining our Volunteer Team

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in Caulfield.

We are looking for friendly faces to assist residents to and from our on-site Chapel service. Share your skills with people living with dementia who are frail and elderly at our Residential Aged Care Home in Caulfield who enjoy a chat and sing-along.

Your Impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government, established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
