This position is classified as a PACS Band 8 ($100,524 - $108,812) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for a meticulous and experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our dynamic team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full-time position reporting to the Coordinator Environmental Health and working alongside a stellar group of like-minded professionals.
- As our new Senior Environmental Health Officer you’ll: investigate, assess, and uncover insights like a pro detective.

What You’ll Need
To make an impact as our new Senior Environmental Health Officer, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Health or qualifications and/or experience approved and gazetted by the Chief Health Officer under the Public Health Act.
- Suitably qualified to be gazetted as an Authorised Person and Inspector for the purposes of controlling noise under the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
- Strong knowledge and experience of environmental health and risk management principles in Local Government.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911, Public Health Act 2016, Food Act 2008, and Environmental Protection Act 1986.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution and communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to provide high quality customer service.
- Well-developed computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office and Local Government databases. Experience in SafetyCulture (iAuditor) and Technology One software is desirable.
- Demonstrated investigative analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to deliver presentations and compile management reports.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Experience in supervising staff is desirable.
- Experience in mosquito management is desirable.
