What you’ll do

As the Team Leader for our Children’s Contact Service (CCS), you’ll oversee the effective delivery of trauma‑informed services that support children and families navigating separation, court orders, or high‑conflict relationships. Working closely with the Centre Manager, you’ll lead a casual workforce, manage complex client cases, and ensure safe, neutral contact arrangements. You’ll also provide supervision, direct service delivery, and guide your team through compliance and best practice, helping families move toward self‑managed contact where possible.

You’ll:

- Ensure high‑quality, client‑centred services through supervision, case consultation, and program facilitation aligned with RANSW policies

- Oversee intake, case allocation, waitlists, and complaints; support staff performance and coordinate service promotion and referral pathways

- Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and Practice Quality & Innovation to maintain service standards and integrated care

- Mentor and support team members, manage onboarding and performance, and contribute to strategic initiatives including RAP activities

- Maintain accurate records, monitor KPIs, manage risk and legal compliance, and ensure effective use of ICT systems across the team

The details

- Permanent role based in Gosford

- 4/5 days a week

What you’ll bring

- Qualifications and/or demonstrated competencies in supervision, couple or family therapy, family dispute resolution, mediation, counselling, group work, workplace training, psychotherapy, case management

- 5 years experience working with families and children as counsellor, couple and family therapist, professional worker or 2500 hours of supervised clinical practice

- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and support a team, including training and onboarding staff

- Demonstrated skills, experience and training as a clinical supervisor, giving and receiving live group work supervision

- Collaborative team player who fosters a supportive environment, motivating and empowering peers and junior staff to excel
