About the Role
Travel across remote communities in the NT & Qld to support the successful operation of our supermarket stores. Accommodation & utilities covered.
Join ALPA (Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation) as a Travelling Supermarket Manager, supporting the operation of community supermarkets across remote locations in the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland. This mobile role has no fixed base; you’ll travel between communities to provide relief management where needed. Just bring your luggage, we’ll take care of the rest.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of ALPA supermarkets in remote communities
- Train and mentor local team members
- Implement ALPA’s nutrition policy and promote healthy food choices
- Collaborate with merchandising, nutrition teams, and community stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- Experience with retail systems (POS, stock control, staff management)
- Strong interpersonal skills across diverse cultures and languages
- Ability to adapt to remote challenges (limited resources, supply chain issues, cultural sensitivities)
