Who we are

The Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation (ALPA) is the largest First Nations corporation in Australia with over 1400 team members, operating in 26 remote locations across the Northern Territory and Queensland. About the role

ALPA is seeking passionate and enthusiastic retailers to:

  • Manage the successful operation of a supermarket in a remote First Nations community
  • Train and mentor local team members
  • Deliver on ALPA's nutrition policy
  • Work with merchandising, nutrition and local stakeholders to meet community needs

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of three years' retail management experience (mandatory)
  • Experience using electronic retail systems for stock control, point of sale and staff management
  • Certificate III in Retail or an ability/willingness to obtain within the first 12 months
  • Ability to manage the unique challenges of remote communities including limited resources, unpredictable supply chains and cultural considerations/sensitivities
