Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.
The Wantirna South Campus is seeking a full-time experienced and inspiring educator to lead our Outdoor, Health and Physical Education program. As Head of OH&PE, you will oversee curriculum development, support staff, and foster a culture that encourages students to challenge themselves, grow in resilience, and embrace healthy, active living.
Commencing in 2026, you’ll join a community of educators who are learners themselves, committed to professional growth, collaborative practice, and the shared calling of preparing young people to live out their faith and learning for the sake of others.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant must:
- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement
- Be able to teach Outdoor, Health and Physical Education
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills

A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Anaphylaxis Certificate (22578VIC or HLTAID012) are also required prior to starting in the role.
