The CTF has one 12 month fixed term opportunity available with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Who are we?

The Construction Training Fund (CTF) is a small team responsible for administration of a levy on all building and construction works in Western Australia. We use this levy to assist in a skilled workforce by funding training and programs for apprentices, trainees and their employers in the building and construction industry.

Our modern offices are based in Belmont with ample free parking onsite.

Job Description

The CTF has an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to join us as a Business Trainee. You’ll get paid while completing a Certificate III in Government, which will provide you with the skills to succeed in a variety of public sector roles.

You will be working across multiple teams within the CTF, gaining exposure to all areas of the organisation. This is a dynamic role that supports various functions and provides a unique opportunity to learn how the business operates end-to-end. You will be part of a collaborative environment where your contributions help support our stakeholders, including apprentices, employers and training organisations.

This entry level opportunity into the public sector will equip you with valuable experience and skills to support your career progression, whether within the CTF or across other areas of government.

The traineeship will primarily be delivered online and through on-the-job training, with formal training also required to complete your Certificate III in Government.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

- Ability to work within a team environment and prioritise workload in line with team goals and timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office software packages.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a customer service environment and provide administrative support.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Successful completion of year 10.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. An executive search may be undertaken to supplement the field of candidates should this be required.
