Multi-award-winning luxury hotel, the Park Hyatt Sydney, is seeking a professional Commis Chef for our Culinary Team.

Our signature restaurant, The Dining Room, offers an ambiance reminiscent of an opulent harbourside residence. The Living Room is a contemporary lounge serving all-day dining. Follow us on Instagram @diningbyjamesviles for updates.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible mainly for dinner services and events in the assigned section.
- Maintain operating and kitchen equipment to a good standard with minimal breakage.
- Ensure hygiene standards and proper storage of dairy products, fish, meats, dry goods, and vegetables.
- Prepare mis-en-place for the assigned section.
- Assist in quality control of items.

Qualifications

- Completion of Chef Apprenticeship.
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery.

Good hygiene and food safety knowledge, safe and accurate knife skills, and experience with various cooking methods are required. Experience as a Commis Chef in a 1 Hatted restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
