With a fast-paced, upbeat atmosphere and a love for bold flavours and vinyl beats, Yoko serves up a shot of pop-infused Japanese dining with Brisbane’s best view.
We're on the hunt for an experienced Commis Chef who thrives under pressure, knows their way around a Hibachi grill, and lives for the energy of a busy service.

The Role: As a Chef at Yoko, you'll work alongside a passionate team, delivering consistently delicious dishes that celebrate both Japanese classics and Brisbane’s local produce. With a menu that spans premium sashimi to perfectly grilled wagyu, and a drinks list that’s as inventive as it is fun, this role is for someone ready to bring energy, precision, and creativity to every plate.
What We’re Looking For: You are someone who:
- Has at least 2 years’ experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Brings attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Loves working with quality produce and innovative dishes
- Has a passion for Japanese or Asian cuisine (not essential, but a bonus)
- Is organised, accountable, and keen to learn from some of the best in the business
