Overview

The Climate Change and Health Project Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating key projects under the SA Health Climate Change and Health Framework, working in collaboration with the Climate Change Lead. This includes undertaking cross-system engagement, supporting monitoring and reporting requirements under the Premier's Circular PC007, and advancing the strategic goals of the SA Health Climate Change and Health Framework 2025-2030. The role will work directly with the Climate and Health Lead to ensure sustained system-wide progress.

The role plans, develops and reviews the successful implementation of project and program indicators including managing and reporting on deliverables and resources, and provides expert advice and guidance in relation to governance of projects. The Climate Change and Health Project Officer develops and maintains collaborative working relationships across SA Health to ensure a coordinated approach for the development and implementation of project initiatives that promote a climate-resilient health system.

Responsibilities

- Develop, implement and evaluate key projects under the SA Health Climate Change and Health Framework.
- Engage cross-system stakeholders and provide governance and advisory support for project initiatives.
- Monitor and report on project deliverables, resources and progress against strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the Climate Change Lead to ensure sustained system-wide progress.
- Develop and review project indicators and manage reporting requirements.

Requirements and Eligibility

- Criminal History Screening: A National Police Certificate (NPC) / Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) is required for this position (general employment).
- Immunisation: Immunisation risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
