About the Role
Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants. The Clinical Trials Coordinator is an integral member of the clinical trials team with responsibilities to assist with planning, implementation, coordination, data management and reporting of clinical trials conducted within the unit. To assist with the ethical and medico-legal requirements of setting up and undertaking drug/device clinical trials as part of multi-national, national and local studies. - Relevant qualifications and/or experience in research, clinical trials, or relevant clinical or other health experience.
- Knowledge and experience in clinical research including secure data management, participant trial data collection, skills in coordinating trial participants, ability to rapidly master new concepts and skills, detailed knowledge of HREC and RGO submissions.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of medico-legal, privacy and ethical requirements for research as per the ICH-GCP.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexibility and ability to work effectively in a changing environment with competing priorities and demands.
