About the Role
As a Ward Clerk within the North 1B Ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, you will provide high-quality administrative support and frontline service delivery in a busy acute care environment. Core responsibilities include managing patient records, coordinating admissions and discharges, liaising with clinical teams, and supporting public enquiries to ensure patients, families and staff receive seamless service.
Work is performed within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, with direct engagement with nursing and medical staff, patients and the public while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of health records. About You
You will be highly organised and adaptable with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a clinical setting.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision while managing high workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative environments, including computerised systems such as Sunrise and Oracle.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with sensitivity to patients, staff and families.
- Subject to relevant vaccination and clearance requirements.
