This is a pool recruitment process (Ref 01183). This pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and opportunities (full time).
Currently there is one (1) temporary vacancy available and this position is offered as a nine (9) month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension. This position is temporarily vacant whilst the substantive occupant is engaged in other duties.
This shift work position operates on a rotational roster basis and includes day, afternoon, weekends and public holiday shifts.
Location is in the Perth CBD, with convenient public transport access and end of trip facilities. Parking is provided when working afternoon shifts.

Position objective
This position supports frontline police officers by providing access to accurate, real-time data that makes policing easier and more effective. Functions as the initial contact point for users of key business applications, demonstrating application knowledge in responding to requests for assistance and providing operational and administrative support to fulfil requests or enable resolution.

Include the names and contact details of two referees who can comment on the applicant’s ability to satisfy the Essential Work Related Requirements. Nominate at least one immediate supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.

Other conditions
In addition to the vacancy above, a pool is being created to fill future vacancies within the metropolitan area. This pool will remain active for twelve (12) months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable at the completion of this process may be placed in the pool and considered for future temporary vacancies as they arise. If a pool candidate declines an opportunity, they may forfeit the right to be considered before other suitable applicants.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment may be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
