Group Clinical Governance Coordinator
Overview
We strive to make real, fundamental change, driven by a simple purpose: to create the best health and wellbeing for all of Australia.
The Opportunity
Our highly regarded Group Clinical Governance, Quality & Safety Team is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced registered clinician to join them in this newly created, permanent opportunity. Reporting to the Group Clinical Governance Safety and Quality Lead, you’ll play a key role in embedding best practice clinical governance and driving continuous quality improvement across Medibank.
This position is designed for a clinician who is eager to apply their practical experience to improving systems and outcomes. You’ll support key activities like clinical reviews, data interpretation, and stakeholder engagement, helping to deliver Medibank’s Clinical Governance and Quality Management Framework in a meaningful and impactful way.
The role is designed to support both the Safety and Quality Partner, and the Group Clinical Governance Safety and Quality Lead, contributing clinical insights to drive quality improvement, clinical risk management and compliance with internal and external standards.
It is essential that you are a health practitioner and hold current AHPRA registration or accreditation with a recognised national board or peak body.
Responsibilities
- Deciding if your day is best spent working from home or the office, as we don’t go for mandated office attendance days here at Medibank.
- Assisting in running reviews across the business to ensure they align to clinical governance frameworks and developing findings to address any areas for improvement.
- Working with stakeholders across the business to capture their processes in clear, concise reports.
- Tracking compliance with clinical governance policies and procedures.
- Engaging in the coordination of the annual Clinical Governance Culture Survey and other enterprise-wide surveys to support continuous improvement in clinical practice.
- Taking time out to recharge and participate in activities that support personal health and wellbeing.
We also have a huge focus on health and wellbeing and expect you to have the same. This team is currently trialling a 4DWW, which means putting tools down and using the extra time to focus on something to improve your personal health and wellbeing.
Now, who are you?
To apply you’ll need to be a health practitioner and hold current AHPRA registration or accreditation with a recognised national board or peak body to be eligible to apply. We would love you to have had experience working in safety or quality roles—ideally within a hospital or similar environment—as well as those who are interested in developing their skills in this area.
You’ll be a strong and engaging communicator who is able to confidently work with and influence a range of stakeholders. A real people person, you will have a knack for building effective, positive working relationships and contributing effectively to your team. In terms of technical skills, you will know your way around a computer and have some Excel exposure.
