Position: Pathology Services Assistant

Location: Mackay, QLD

Employment Type: Full-time. Hours are Monday – Friday between 07:00 and 18:00, with participation in the rotating Saturday roster.

Key Responsibilities

1. Treat our patients with care and compassion;
2. Process collected pathology specimens and prepare them for testing;
3. The ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment;
4. Enter data into the laboratory information system; and
5. Answer telephones

What we are looking for

The successful applicant will have experience in data entry with a strong customer service focus, being able to prioritise work by sticking to a schedule. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills allowing you to work effectively within a team or unsupervised. It is important to note that a QLD drivers licence is also required. Previous experience within the health industry will be advantageous but is not essential.
