Townsville, Australia Movember Careers Full time

Men are dying too young – and it doesn’t have to be that way. Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember, we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health — making it easier for men to talk, to act, and to live longer, healthier lives.

Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a moustache‑powered crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling. DO GOOD – Work for Movember.

Your Mo‑Mission (you should choose to accept it):

The National Program Manager – Men in Mind is responsible for leading the strategic implementation and national delivery of Movember’s federally funded roll out of Men in Mind for primary care professionals — a key program within Movember’s Gender‑Responsive Healthcare portfolio.

This includes:

Program Management and Leadership

- Lead the national implementation of the Men in Mind program, translating strategic priorities into coordinated, high‑quality delivery across Australia.

- Guide program planning, execution, and continuous improvement in alignment with Movember’s broader gender‑responsive healthcare goals.

- Manage timelines, budgets, and reporting to ensure accountability and resource efficiency.

Team Management & Support

- Lead and support a team of regional Implementation Leads, fostering a collaborative, impact‑driven culture.

- Provide coaching, problem‑solving, and escalation support to ensure regional teams can navigate local challenges and opportunities.

- Coordinate team‑wide planning, alignment, and performance tracking.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

- Build and maintain high‑level relationships with national and state‑level partners including government agencies, PHNs, peak bodies, and mental health networks.

- Represent the program in strategic conversations, advocacy opportunities, and sector‑wide forums to elevate Men in Mind’s presence and positioning.

- Ensure stakeholder engagement is coordinated, strategic, and aligned with long‑term sustainability goals.

Program Delivery & Oversight

- Oversee the integration of the Men in Mind training into existing professional development systems, service settings, and university curricula.

- Ensure alignment between the self‑directed training package, champion model, and any in‑person learning offerings, adapting as needed to local needs and national direction.

- Monitor fidelity and quality of program delivery across all regional implementation activities.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

- Collaborate with evaluation and data teams to track program outcomes, user engagement, and regional impact.

- Use insights to drive program refinement, implementation adaptation, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.

- Contribute to the development of reporting, case studies, and evidence to support advocacy and funding opportunities.

Cross‑Team Collaboration

- Work closely with Movember’s content development, LMS/digital infrastructure, marketing and comms, and policy and partnerships teams to ensure seamless program delivery.

- Act as the primary bridge between program operations and strategy, ensuring alignment with national and global Men’s Health priorities.

No Mustache Required — but the following are:

- Demonstrated experience in leading national or large‑scale programs in health, mental health, public health, or human services, with strong skills in planning, implementation, and performance tracking.

- Proven ability to lead and support geographically dispersed teams, including coaching, coordination, and building a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.

- Strong understanding of the Australian health system, including mental health, primary care, and the roles of PHNs, professional bodies, and government agencies.

- Relevant experience as a health professional or in roles working closely with clinical teams, education providers, or workforce development in health.

- Demonstrated ability to build and manage strategic relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government, PHNs, peak bodies, universities, and community organisations.

- A clear commitment to equity, gender‑responsive healthcare, and systems‑level change in health or mental health.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent programs in high‑level conversations, reports, and sector‑wide forums.

- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through change, with a proactive, outcomes‑focused mindset.

Not Mission Critical – but for extra street cred:

- Experience in health promotion, social marketing, or behaviour change campaigns within a healthcare, public health, or community setting.

- Familiarity with professional development programs, e‑learning, or clinical education initiatives, particularly those focused on workforce capacity‑building.

- Understanding of the principles of gender‑responsive care, masculine norms, and strategies for engaging men effectively in healthcare or mental health contexts.

- Experience in a values‑based organisation or cross‑functional role involving advocacy, partnerships, or policy influence.

- Tertiary qualifications in health, public health, social sciences, psychology, education, or a related field.

GOOD CAUSE: Working for Movember, you’ll help raise millions for men’s health (not for a CEO’s bonus). And all those dollars do a whole lot of good. We’ve funded cancer research, created lifesaving medicines, and helped make cancer treatments less “one‑size‑fits‑all”, and more specific to each patient’s needs.

We’re even calling for governments worldwide to get it together on men’s health. By meeting directly with policymakers so they change the systems that change men’s health.

GOOD VIBES: The vibes aren’t just for Fridays – even though we start weekends early nine months of the year. Here, it always feels like something big’s about to happen. Be it an office‑wide surprise birthday party (with cake) or an impromptu all‑staff boogie.

Come the hairy season, the energy gets silly. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on‑site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. And that means one thing: it’s conga time.

GOOD CREW: Let’s just get this out of the way: big egos need not apply. We’re all about straight‑up solid human beings out to do meaningful work. People who’ll help you reach career‑best moments. And give you the freedom to get there the best way you see fit.

Hybrid remote working is the norm. And in the office, you can sit where you please. Who knows? On any given day you could even end up desk buddies with the man who started this all.

- Flexible hybrid working from home and our modern Richmond office

- Finish work at 2pm on Fridays (Dec‑Aug)

- NFP salary packaging (pay less tax)

- 13 weeks paid parental leave and 5 weeks annual leave

- Fun & collaborative culture with employee social events

- Free Headspace subscription and other wellbeing initiative

- Relaxed dress code

Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (Over how we look, and other things that shouldn’t matter.) Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.

And another impressive number is our WGEA gender pay gap: it sits at a big, fat, round 0%. If you’ve got the relevant skills and the right attitude, let nothing stand in your way of firing off your application.

Movember is stronger when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are part of our crew. We want you to feel supported in exploring opportunities with us. That’s why before applying, we invite you to yarn with Raymond Rosendale, Australian Indigenous Programs Manager, in a virtual catch‑up — to talk about the role, our community work, or just to share ideas.

Do you want to DO GOOD? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
