Salary : $77,000 p.a. plus superannuation

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and career-focused individual to join our culinary team full-time. You will be reporting to the Head Chef.
You will ensure tasks assigned to kitchen staff are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard, and within food hygiene guidelines.

Main Duties
· Plan & design menus, estimating food and kitchen labour costs, in consultation with the Head Chef and management, ordering food supplies
· Roster staff, oversea daily kitchen operations, monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
· Discuss food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and wait staff
· Supervise & demonstrate techniques, and advise on cooking procedures to other kitchen staff when necessary
· Preparing and cooking food according to menu and for functions
· Explain and enforce hygiene regulations
· Asist in selecting and training kitchen staff
· Freeze and preserve food when necessary

To be successful in this role you will:
· Maintain a guest focus while performing duties
· Responsibility for quality of products served.
· Graciously and quickly fulfill any guest request possible
· Complete opening and closing checklists.
· Do the daily preparation list at the start of each shift to assign duties.

Qualification
Certificate IV Commercial Cookery, Diploma or equivalent. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications.
Minimum 2-years previous experience as a Chef
