Alapont Developments is a long-established, boutique residential builder delivering high-quality homes across Melbourne’s South-East growth corridor. Known for our craftsmanship and personalised service, we design and build bespoke family homes in Clyde North, Pakenham, and surrounding suburbs.

As our pipeline of projects continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team and contribute to the final finish that defines an Alapont home.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces including plaster, timber, and concrete through patching, filling, sanding, and priming
Protect work areas by placing drop sheets and securing floor coverings in accordance with safety protocols
Mix, match, and select paints, sealants, and finishes suitable for various surfaces and applications
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to interior and exterior surfaces, including ceilings, walls, timber frames, doors, and windows
Install wallpaper and trim edges neatly according to design specifications
Carry out minor repair work to frames and coverings where necessary
Ensure compliance with OH&S standards and maintain a clean, organised work environment at all times
Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades to meet project timelines

About You

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and contributes positively to a team-focused environment. The following is required to be successful in this role:

Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a Painter in residential construction
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (preferred)
Competency in paint preparation, application, and finishing techniques
Sound understanding of tools, materials, and safety procedures
Ability to follow detailed plans and instructions with minimal supervision
Strong time management skills and a commitment to quality workmanship
Australian Driver’s licence
