About the role

You will work closely with the National Lead of the CCP Domain, for ongoing development, coordination and delivery of CCP curriculum and assessment across the MD program. Thiscampus is based in Fremantle, reporting to the National Lead of the CCP Domain, based in Sydney. You will work with colleagues based across our 3 campuses to ensure the provision of high quality communication and clinical skills across the 4 years of our MD program. You will work closely with Fremantle based CCP domain academic and professional staff, the National CCP Domain Lead, the National Head of Medical Education and Innovation, Domain leads, as well as Curriculum, Assessment, Foundation and Clinical Years teams

Key Responsibilities

- Supporting the National CCP Domain Lead in the ongoing development, coordination, and implementation of the CCP domain curriculum in the national MD program.
- Leading the Fremantle CCP Domain in implementation of the CCP Domain Fremantle MD Program including all CCP academic staff, as well as supporting CCP academics in managing and training the clinical skills medical educators and tutors.
- Working with other Domain Leads, Assessment and Medical Education Unit teams, and academic staff across the MD program in ensuring CCP learning objectives are suitably assessed and integrated with other domains where appropriate.
- Working with the Assessment team and CCP Domain academics in the development and marking of examinations by writing and standard setting assessment questions, developing clinical examination station and marking assessments.
- To coordinate and manage the clinical exams (OSCEs) in Fremantle across the 4 years of the MD Program.
- To provide administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team in Fremantle working with CCP Domain professional staff.
- Carrying out teaching duties in accordance with the University's teaching policy as required.
- Participating as a member of relevant committees or other groups as required.

Qualifications, skills & experience

- Possession of a medical degree registrable with AHPRA and one of a Fellowship qualification in Medicine, Health or Medical Education OR a PhD, OR equivalent experience and standing in a relevant discipline area of more than 5 years.
- Experience in curriculum design, delivery and/or assessment in medical education, preferably in the health context and in a tertiary setting.
- Well-developed leadership, organisation and project management skills, with experience in organising and running clinical and OSCEexaminations desirable.
- Experience in evidence-based clinical skills teaching and delivery at Masters level or higher or in medical, health or professional practice based education settings.
- Excellent teamwork, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with a range of academic, clinical, administrative and/or technical staff in a complex environment.
- Proficiency with technology and learning and teaching programs.
