Due to the increase in autonomous vehicles used in the mining industry, NES Fircroft is recruiting Autonomous Fleet Specialists to join the team with one of the biggest names in WA mining.

These positions are starting on a contract basis, with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Diagnosis and troubleshooting of automation/technology systems
- Investigating and leading optimization projects focused on customer use of AHS and other technologies
- Participating in product development and improvement activities related to the AHS system and its integration with other mining systems
- Supporting autonomous system incident investigations, providing system expertise, identifying improvement initiatives, and implementing corrective actions
- Interpreting operational requirements for AHS engineering support teams for issue resolution and R&D
- Providing technical input on change management processes
- Serving as the on-site single point of contact for AHS-related queries and decision-making
- Contributing to the creation of training documentation, best practices, and processes
- Reporting to internal and external stakeholders as required

The successful applicant will possess:

- Excellent troubleshooting skills across control systems, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and technology aspects of mining equipment
- Meticulous and methodical approach with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Relevant Heavy Diesel or Auto Electrician trade or tertiary qualifications
- Strong electrical, hydraulic, and/or mechanical background
- Experience with IT networking protocols, administration, monitoring, and support
- Commitment to providing quality customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to various roster arrangements
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Full Australian work rights (no sponsorship available)
