Responsibilities
- As someone with significant professional work experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics, you understand the value of data to help solve business problems. You are happy to roll up your sleeves and see projects through from end-to-end, including mapping business processes, conducting requirements analysis, and documentation.
- You work to help clients source, transform and interpret data into actionable metrics to optimise their business. A consultative mindset is essential.
Required skills and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Senior Data Engineer
- Certified in at least one of: Databricks (fundamentals or higher), Fabric Data Engineering (DP-700), Azure (AZ-900)
- Significant, commercial, hands-on experience across the full Microsoft on-prem BI stack SSIS + SSRS + SSAS (both tabular and multidimensional)
- Advanced skills in SQL Server and SSMS
- Experience with Azure data tools; Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, etc.
- Strong Python skills, with experience in PySpark
- Experience working in a complex enterprise data warehouse environment
- Solid Agile environment experience
- Knowledge and experience of DWH, Data Lakes, and analytics best practice
- AWS experience and certifications, highly regarded
- Ability to develop requirements into actionable business analytics strategies, roadmaps, and solutions
- Able to quickly build strong relationships with decision-makers, and become their trusted advisor
