About the role The Women’s is Australia’s leading independent specialist hospital for women dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women of all ages and cultures, and newborn infants. The Women’s is a major teaching hospital with strong affiliations to the University of Melbourne, with research and education integral to its role. The Women’s serves an annual cohort of 80,000 patients, delivering more than 7,000 babies. The Women’s is the tertiary referral centre for high-risk obstetric patients in Melbourne and further afield in the state of Victoria and Australia-wide. A Clinical Fellowship in Obstetric Medicine at the Women’s offers a rounded training experience in the field of Obstetric Medicine. This is an advanced training position is accredited by RACP for General Medicine and by SOMANZ for Obstetric Medicine for about 8 months (as parental leave cover). It provides a balance between clinical exposure to inpatient obstetric medicine, participation in specialist clinics, and time dedicated to quality assurance activities and research. About you Experience/Qualifications/Competencies The FRACP Written Examination or equivalent is essential, along with a minimum of 24 months’ experience in an RACP approved adult physician advanced training program. Essential Criteria - Primary medical degree MBBS or equivalent - Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview.
