PEER, in collaboration with the Commonwealth and Australian Governments, are excited to offer South Australian women an outstanding opportunity to step into a dynamic and rewarding career pathway through a 12-month, paid Certificate III traineeship – combining study, real-world experience, and mentorship.

Through a mix of on-campus study at TAFE SA (Regency Park) and practical work placements with leading employers in the defence industry in various locations in SA, you’ll gain the skills, experience, and confidence to thrive.
About the Traineeship
Explore Your Passions – Get hands-on experience across administration, IT, cyber security, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and technical drawing (CAD).
Pathway to a Career – Build the skills that the defence industry is looking for and open the door to future employment.
Support Every Step of the Way – Dedicated mentors, coaches, and supervisors will be by your side to support and guide you.

Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates must satisfactorily pass a National Police Clearance, Baseline Security Check (must be an Australian citizen) and medical checks including drug & alcohol screening before a formal offer of employment is provided. Eligibility criteria applies in relation to work rights.
As a trainee you will be paid in accordance with the National Training Wage.
The Defence Industry Pathways Program has quickly built a reputation of excellence. Over 100 trainees have graduated over the past three years in Western Australia, many of them having now moved onto fulfilling full time roles within the defence industry. Will you be the next success story?
