About Wungening Aboriginal Corporation

Wungening is an Aboriginal community-controlled organization offering counselling, education, advocacy, and support services, including drug and alcohol support, family violence support, accommodation, justice services, and early intervention programs.

The Role: Case Worker - ReSet

This role involves delivering comprehensive throughcare support services in collaboration with the ReSet team and partners, focusing on offender rehabilitation and reintegration aligned with the Department of Justice’s IIOM framework.

- Conduct client assessments and develop case plans.

- Implement case management and counselling techniques.

- Maintain documentation and support plans.

- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

- Provide family and domestic violence risk assessments and safety planning.

- Support individuals in crisis through referrals and tailored programs.

Selection Criteria

- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, or related field.

- Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, or similar (Level 4).

- Clinical and counselling experience in adult justice reintegration.

- 1-2 years' experience for Level 4; 3+ years for Level 5 positions.

- Experience working in justice settings.

- Culturally responsive experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

- Ability to obtain necessary clearances.
