Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.

These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The System Administrator will under broad direction from the Commonwealth, be responsible for a range of activities contributing to the design, build, test and operation of ICT systems and network services to support the delivery of modern mobility solutions for senior government officials. Project activities under the project include expanding the existing network, computing systems, desktop delivery solutions, complex gateway services, cloud services, and secure mobility solutions.

Working arrangements: Onsite. WFH cannot be accommodated. An Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) must be completed prior to commencement. Applicants must hold a current TSPV clearance prior to commencement. Maximum time worked in a 12 month period will be no more than 1920 hours.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide Technical expertise in building, deploying and managing virtual desktop SOEs. (Scripting, Batch, PowerShell) specialists, users and managers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Configuration manager for application packaging and deployment.
- Administer secured End User Computing Environment (Active Directory Management, Group Policy) procedures and standards.
- Update environment with software upgrades.(patching security updates - essential eight, usage reports)
- Proficient in deployment methodologies and network switch configuration.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimisation, scalability of Virtual environment.
- Integrate with MFA solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues
- Preferable - Support and Monitor Virtual Windows Desktop environment. (Citrix NetScaler)

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Demonstrated experience and qualifications in Microsoft server and desktop technologies (including Exchange, WSUS, MECM) Experience in Microsoft PowerShell scripting.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

- The extent to which the candidate demonstrates, through their written response, the practicable ability and recent experience in performing the Job Duties and Responsibilities as set out in the RFQ.
- The extent to which the candidate can demonstrate they possess the technical qualifications and practical experience to meet the Technical Skills and Knowledge Required as set out in the RFQ.
- ASD's Value for Money assessment of the proposed hourly rate commensurate with proposed candidates skills and experience against the requirements of the position.
- Where the 'Job Duties and Responsibilities', and/or the 'Technical Skills and Knowledge Required' list Preferable or Desirable elements, candidates that can demonstrate experience and qualifications in those additional elements, as well as the core requirements, may be assessed more favourably.
