Responsibilities

- Apply and uphold security best practices in all day-to-day activities,
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and risk reduction initiatives across the bank’s mainframe computing environment,
- Proactively identify, report, and remediate risks relevant to the role,
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration,
- Collaborate with audit and compliance teams to address findings and implement appropriate remediation actions,
- Use your technical expertise and sound judgment to design and implement effective technical solutions that meet business requirements,
- Provide technical input and guidance during the design and delivery of major Mainframe systems and projects,
- Contribute to project initiatives, collaborating with teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing support.

Key Skills

- 7+ years’ experience working in a Mainframe environment,
- 10+ years’ experience in a Mainframe Security Analyst role, ideally with RACF,
- Advanced expertise in RACF Security Administration,
- Strong hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language) and SAS programming,
- Good working knowledge of ISPF (Interactive System Productivity Facility), Dialogue Management Services, and SDSF, (Spool Display Search Facility)
- A solid background or exposure to audit, risk, and controls processes,
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Assembler, PL/I, or COBOL,
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to assess how technology changes and operational activities impact the effectiveness of bank-managed IT systems,
- A solid understanding of risk management, controls, and standard operating procedures, (SOPs)
- In-depth knowledge of policies, regulations, and compliance obligations related to technology and the business operations it supports,
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
