What We Need

CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Mandarin speaking Regulatory Oversight Analyst within our APAC regulatory team. This position falls under our Cross-Border line of business and is based in Sydney. In this role, you will support CORPAY’s payment and FX derivatives operations, with a particular focus on the derivatives oversight of Australian, Singaporean and New Zealand businesses. This role provides regulatory monitoring and oversight of derivatives activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, namely the dealing, trading and regulatory disciplines, providing second-line monitoring, feedback, and recommendations to ensure robust controls, effective risk management, and alignment with the firm’s risk appetite. You will report directly to the APAC Head of Operations, and under the direction of senior members of the regulatory team to support day-to-day compliance monitoring activities, regulatory reporting and monitoring changes to regulatory requirements.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

- Help develop and conduct oversight and monitoring of CORPAY’s English and Mandarin client communications (Call/ Email/ Whatsapp/ Wechat), providing feedback to employees and management to ensure regulatory compliance and best practice.

- Act as the second line of defence, monitoring controls and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

- Perform Compliance monitoring, report results, and recommend improvements to derivatives activities and controls.

- Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to develop and maintain a derivatives data warehouse using Power BI.

- Apply strong monitoring practices through interviews, file reviews, data analysis, document checks, and review of recorded conversations.

- Produce timely monitoring reports highlighting emerging risks, trends, or patterns, with recommendations for management action.

- Support the operation of the firm’s risk management framework, including updating risk registers and incident reporting.

- Assist with training initiatives, awareness programs, and monitoring of regulatory changes relevant to the APAC business.

- Perform other compliance‑related tasks and projects as directed by senior compliance managers.

Qualifications & Skills

- Written and verbal Mandarin and English proficiency.

- Exposure to FX derivative products and reporting regimes an advantage.

- Some prior experience or internship in regulatory compliance, financial services, or legal support within an Australian financial institution (payments or foreign exchange experience an advantage).

- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently as a self‑starter while contributing effectively in a team environment.

- Foundational knowledge of Australian regulatory obligations, particularly those set by ASIC, AUSTRAC, and the Corporations Act.

- Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and willingness to learn.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.

- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and a strong interest in developing expertise in financial regulation and compliance.

- Confident communicator, able to engage with Sales and other stakeholders in a robust yet commercially minded manner.

- Experience with Power BI or data analysis tools is an advantage.
