ACM EWP GROUP is seeking experienced and highly motivated Diesel Mechanics to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of truck-mounted elevated work platforms (EWPs). This role requires a strong background in diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy-duty vehicles. You will work closely with our engineering and technical teams to ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems for truck-mounted EWPs.
- Conduct routine service checks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and engine tune-ups to ensure vehicles are operating at peak performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to the platform’s operation and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, including inspections of engine components, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
- Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as bearings, brakes, gearboxes, and electrical components.
- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work complies with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support repair work on structural components.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labor time, and services performed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex issues and develop long-term solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in heavy-duty vehicles or truck-mounted EWPs.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various positions, lifting heavy equipment and performing tasks in confined spaces.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in diesel mechanics are required.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred.
