SESLHD - Staff Specialist - Psychiatry - Virtual Care Centre
💼 South Eastern Sydney Local Health District
REQ592700
The Mental Health Virtual Care Centre (MHVCC) is a district-wide service delivering a time-limited, evidence-based mental health rehabilitation program through a flexible mix of virtual and face-to-face care. The program empowers participants to strengthen their mental health, build resilience, and develop practical skills and support systems to improve daily functioning, quality of life, and overall independence—all within the comfort of their own home and community.
The MHVCC is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and recovery-oriented Consultant Psychiatrist to join a skilled multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapy, nursing, and peer support. Working on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE), the Consultant Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, tailored interventions, and collaborative care planning in line with the NICE Guidelines for Mental Health Rehabilitation for a low-volume caseload of participants.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative model of care that blends clinical excellence with flexibility, accessibility, and person-centred practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping recovery pathways and supporting participants to achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes in their recovery journey.
