We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor with a focus on quality assurance, compliance and systems to join our top performing team, based at the Glebe Head Office with occasional travel opportunities. This pivotal role will see you provide expert Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidance to both corporate and project teams, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards while driving continuous improvement.

Supporting our company offices and project sites, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our industry-leading safety performance, supporting external audits, and enhancing our integrated management systems.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert HSEQ guidance to senior management, project, and site teams to ensure compliance with legislation and company objectives.

Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Done Safe platform, overseeing accurate reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.

Lead continuous improvement of the Critical Risk Management (CRM).

Prepare high-quality HSEQ documentation to support tender and project submissions.

Manage and maintain HSEQ data across company, client, and regulatory systems to ensure compliance.

Develop and implement the Corporate Governance Assurance Program, tracking non-conformances and corrective actions.

Support external ISO and FSC certification audits through effective management system maintenance.

Coordinate and deliver HSEQ training programs to ensure staff competency and compliance.

Review and enhance HSEQ procedures, standards, and tools for continual system improvement.

Undertake regular site visits to provide HSEQ coverage, monitor compliance, and support safe and efficient site operations.

About You

You’re an experienced and proactive HSEQ professional who thrives in both office and site environments. You enjoy working collaboratively and building trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

The successful applicant will have:

Strong advisory experience across Health, Safety, Environment and Quality in construction, demolition, or civil industries.

Demonstrated ability to lead and conduct internal and external audits, including accreditation and compliance audits.

- Experience with DoneSafe or similar platforms.

- Experience with maintaining ISO standards and certification, and the OFSC process.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Experience contributing to HSEQ requirements of tenders and project documentation.

Willingness to travel and provide FIFO coverage and relief on project sites.

A results-driven mindset with a continuous improvement focus.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and prior experience in a similar role within high-risk, heavy industry settings.
