The Opportunity

What You’ll Do
As a Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Lead onsite construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with design, quality, and program requirements.
- Monitor project performance against schedule, budget, and targets, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide strong leadership by motivating and supporting the Site Team, setting clear goals, fostering open communication and collaboration, developing capability through coaching and feedback, and promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee subcontractors and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, contractual, and quality standards.
- Collaborate across departments - including Construction, Project Management, Finance, and Preconstruction - to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Champion Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment by leading site safety standards, managing hazards, planning high-risk work, ensuring compliance with WHS and environmental requirements, and fostering a proactive safety culture across all teams.
- Foster strong client and stakeholder relationships, promoting WEM’s reputation through professionalism and proactive communication.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant qualifications in civil construction and a solid understanding of industry practices, standards, and processes.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, guide, and coordinate multiple project teams effectively.
- Strong planning, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across projects.
- Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, Environmental Management, and Quality Systems, ensuring compliance and safe site practices.
- Demonstrated initiative in driving productivity, efficiency, and cost control improvements.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Committed to professional growth and willing to travel or work across different project locations as required.
