Overview

Experienced Painting Trades person for our Carole Park workshop. Must be competent with metal spraying applications. Able to apply paints and coatings using conventional and airless spray painting equipment. Adhere to OHS policies and procedures. Able to apply zinc phosphates, inorganic zinc, epoxies, high build epoxies, polysiloxanes, polyurethanes, fluoropolymer topcoats and intumescent coatings to various surfaces using brushes, sprays and rollers. Understand and complete works to specifications. Work at heights and confined spaces. Able to correctly erect and use ladders. Clean equipment and work areas.

Responsibilities

- Must be competent in plural component and hot metal spraying applications
- Able to apply paints and coatings using conventional and airless spray-painting equipment
- Adhere to OHS policies and procedures
- Understand surface preparation and finishes
- Be able to complete works to specifications and paint vehicles and equipment
- Be able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc
- Able to apply zinc phosphates, inorganic zinc, epoxies, high build epoxies, polysiloxanes, polyurethanes, fluoropolymer topcoats and intumescent coatings to various surfaces using brushes, sprays and rollers
- Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness
- Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to correctly erect and use ladders
- Cleaning equipment and work areas

Qualifications & Licences

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV plus at least one year full-time work of relevant work experience
- Have EWP (BL, SL, & VL) and WP (over 11m) licences and experience

Benefits

38 hr per week plus guaranteed minimum overtime plus superannuation.
