About the role:
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Shift. You’ll help develop scalable software, contribute to architecture discussions and work closely with other engineers and stakeholders in a supportive, agile environment.
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain reliable software applications using C# (.NET) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS)
- Participate in agile sprint planning, estimation, and delivery
- Contribute to software design decisions and work closely with senior engineers on system architecture
- Collaborate with product and design teams to implement well-scoped, business-aligned features
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Help monitor performance and ensure the team is meeting SLOs
- Stay engaged with modern development practices and technologies
What you’ll bring:
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency with C# (.NET) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS)
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and understanding of event-driven systems
- Exposure to cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Solid grasp of agile software development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong commitment to code quality, testing and reliable delivery
- Good collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- A mindset focused on growth, curiosity and problem-solving
