About the role

Reporting to the Head of ER & Safety, Legal Counsel, you will be the subject matter expert for employee relations across the group. Your role will see you:

- advising on complex ER matters including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, redundancies etc;
- representing the group in employment litigation, including appearing before courts / tribunals;
- supporting and coaching the business to identify/mitigate ER risks;
- reviewing, maintaining and developing systems of work;
- monitoring case law, legislation and trends to promote a proactive ER approach.

Skills/Experience

To be considered for this role you will have:

- at least 4 years’ PAE as an employment lawyer with an unrestricted practising certificate;
- strong knowledge of employment-related legislation and ER best practice;
- advocacy experience in courts and tribunals;
- a highly commercial approach; and
- the ability to work autonomously while partnering effectively with HR and business leaders.
