About the position
Located in Port Stephens, The Anchorage Hotel & Spa offers luxurious accommodation from spacious rooms to mezzanine-style loft suites and an exclusive villa. We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer oriented Guest Relations Attendant to provide our guests with an exceptional experience on a fulltime basis.
Key accountabilities include:

1. Provide and project friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
2. Welcome and serve sparking wine on arrival
3. Maintaining guest accounts and assisting with guest enquiries
4. Processing of financial transactions
5. Handling reservation enquiries and bookings
6. Guest Check In / Out
7. Resolve any guests complaints
8. Advise guests on local attractions and activities
9. Up-sell and promote Hotel services
10. Our Front Desk operations are 24 hours, with our shifts running from 6:30am to 10:30pm. You will be required to work a variety of shifts across a 7 day roster.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, it will require you to complete a fully funded Certificate III in Hospitality as part of your employment with The Wests Group. This program is offered in partnership with Allara Learning and is subject to eligibility criteria -SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality (JobReady - Culinary) | Allara Learning.

Please be advised, this role requires a Criminal Check to be undertaken prior to starting the role (Costs covered by Wests Group).

About you
You take a professional approach to your customer service and thrive on going above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable stay. Your attention to detail and ability to multi-task will see you thrive in this role. Ideally you come from a guest relations background, within the hotel sector, although this is not essential.
