Overview

Rutherford Briant are recruiting for an Audit Director to work for a leading regional firm ranked in the top 50 with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional audit services to a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of auditors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship

- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements

- Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate audit plans

- Review and evaluate internal controls, identifying areas for improvement

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices

- Provide strategic guidance to clients, assisting them in achieving their financial objectives

- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service

- Collaborate with other departments to develop integrated and comprehensive solutions for clients

Requirements

- Professional certification such as ACA/ACCA

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and best practices

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

- Proven track record of delivering high-quality audit services

- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
