Role and focus

You will be a Senior Mechanical Engineer looking for a range of challenging and industry leading projects. Ideally, you will have experience in oil & gas, although experiences across manufacturing, infrastructure or heavy industry is also valued.

The role offers an opportunity to be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering team, working with a diverse range of clients on brownfields projects and new builds. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

- Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and clients quality standards.

- Maintain mechanical engineering standards across all projects.

- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.

- Recommend improvements to engineering systems and processes.

- Continuously develop industry networks and contacts.

- Have an opinion, challenge the norm, and provide constructive feedback wherever possible.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience with 3 years’ experience in Finite Element Analysis with experience in pressure equipment (desirable)

- CPEng certification

- Diverse range of mechanical engineering skills, including pressure equipment, rotating equipment or tanks

- Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from initiation through to construction stage

- Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar manufacturing industries

- Experience using AutoPIPE, PV Elite or other design programs

- Experience generating engineering budget estimates and quotations

- Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines

- Degree or equivalent experience/qualification is mandatory
